The official start of summer is a few weeks away, but June is bringing warm weather and new sights, sounds, tastes, and more to Socrates Sculpture Park. Our new exhibition ‘Mary Mattingly: Ebb of a Spring Tide’ is open! Experience the Water Clock, a 65-foot living sculpture pulsing East River water throughout its mixed-media structure. A variety of horticultural elements grow steadily, with plenty of opportunity to see how these salt-tolerant, edible, and medicinal plants grow and thrive throughout the course of the exhibit. The Park is open 9am to Sunset, 365 days a year. Admission is always free.

June 10: Tree Rings Readings & Workshop Can trees feel the weather? Like giant living weather stations recording their environment, the width and character of annual growth rings of trees can describe a great deal. Join artist Heidi Neilson to create a forest of tree ring drawings and impressions from weather data recorded by the ‘Sky Tickler’ SP Weather Station and tree observations around the park. RSVP
